The present invention discloses a relief map or topographical sand table, which comprises raw earth and a plurality of separating means and transparent mantles, wherein each separating means includes a base plate, which edge curve is identical with the boundary of map, and a thin separating plate protruding upwards from the edge of the base plate. Each of the separating means is arranged together along the boundaries of map, and said raw earth is collected from the region indicated by the map. The separating means are covered by said transparent mantles, on which is drawn the region's name and the map line coinciding with the contour, which indicates the boundary of map, of the thin separating plate. Due to the use of the plurality of individual separating means, when arranged together, they form a overall map or topographical sand table, while when used individually, they form a map or topographical sand table of local region, thus said relief map or topographical sand table solves the problem of the inconvenience in not only producing but also moving and carrying a prior art raw earth map.
