A MOORAGE WITH A COVER FOR INHIBITING THE FOULING OF A VESSEL

A mooring (1) in a water area having fixed elements (4; 5) for mooring a vessel (3) is arranged with a cover (2; 11) moored to said elements (4; 5). The cover (2; 11) consists of a flexible material (8; 12) which is light- and waterproof and it encloses the part of the vessel (3) that is under the water surface. The cover blocks out light and the inflow of fresh water to the area around the underwater body of the vessel and therefore forms an effective means for preventing fouling of this vessel. This advantageous effect is obtained without polluting the surrounding environment and without causing damage to the fauna and the flora in the water area.
