Method of dealing with use conflicts in digital networks

Recourses in use by a first application based on a first target are requested by a second application based on a second target. The method involves searching for changes in the requests for resources by the first application and/or by the section application, that allow the first target and the second target to be achieved. The change in requests consists of a time shift in the requests, a change in the access parameters, such as bandwidth or data rate, a change to other similar resources, or a change to a resource acting as an intermediate station. An Independent claim is also included for a digital home network.
