Flat knitting machine for making tubular knitting

The knitting machine is in two sections with cams for moving its needles (3) along guide grooves, drives to operate the cams, and a system for passing the knitting yarn from one section's needles to those in the other section and back. The knitting cams move in closed-circuit guides (10a, 10b), with the drives moving the cams along the guides so that they interact with the needles in only certain zones of the guides, lying perpendicular to needle guide grooves. The closed-circuit guides are positioned in two parallel rows running the length of the machine's sections.
