The invention concerns a hull-mounted sonar for a naval ship. It consists in associating a transmitter (20) formed of cylindrical rings (201) with a receiver formed of at least two hydrophone sets (210) distributed on two transparent cylindrical surfaces (211) coaxial to the transmitter. It enables to reduce the weight and the total volume of the antenna and to eliminate the influence of the Q factor.
