Holder apparatus with electrode cutting detection function in electric furnace

PURPOSE: A holder device with an electrode breakage detecting function of an electric furnace is provided to effectively prevent the erosion of facilities due to any electric spark between electrodes and other components. CONSTITUTION: A guide rail(12) extending up and down is formed at one side of an arm(10). A wheel(28) constructed to move along the guide rail is mount at one side of a holder(20) supporting an electrode(120). Electric contact points(14) corresponding to each other are formed both on the arm and the holder. An elastic coil spring(18) is installed between the arm and the holder to provide an elastic repulsive force, which is larger than the weight of a holder in the case of the breakage of the electrode, toward a direction capable of raising the holder.
