PURPOSE: A method for afforestation of a sloped face of a base rock by planting vine type plants on an inclined surface thereof is provided which can effectively overcome the defects such as long construction period, high cost, and difficulties in safety protection of workers etc. in the prior art. CONSTITUTION: Vine type plants and creeping type native plants are planted on a greening foundation bed layer with a thickness of 1 to 5cm at the lower, middle and upper end part of an inclined surface of a base rock. The vine type plants are selected from the group consisting of Actinidia arguta, Apocynaceae, Aralia elata, Caprifoliaceae, Akebia quinata, Celastrus orbiculatus, Magnolia Family, Moraceae, etc. and the creeping type native plants are selected from the group consisting of Crassulaceae, Labiatae, Compositae and Rosaceae.
