PURPOSE: Provided are a silane-modified biopolymeric, biooligomeric, oxidic or siliceous filler which displays an improved coverage of the surface with the corresponding rubber-reactive silanes and which therefore has comparable dynamic properties in rubber to known silane-filler blends produced in situ and displays better dynamic properties in rubber than known silane-filler blends produced ex situ, a process for its production, and an its use. CONSTITUTION: The silane-modified biopolymeric, biooligomeric, oxidic or siliceous filler is obtainable by reacting at least one biopolymeric, biooligomeric, oxidic or siliceous filler in a compressed gas with at least one silane. The filler contains between 0.1 and 50.0 wt% of silane. The pressure during the reaction is between 1 and 500 bar. The reaction is conducted at a temperature between 0 and 300 deg.C. The silane is undissolved, partially dissolved or wholly dissolved in the compressed gas.
