World Minerals have been making several investigations into the use of diatomaceous earth and alumino silicate products as a functional filler as part of their program of new product development. This paper will look at the established market of the use of diatomaceous earth in polyethylene anti-block and show how that work is opening up new areas for the use of these materials as effect fillers in other applications.
