Apparatus and method catch call service offering for GSM/UMTS

PURPOSE: A device for supplying a calling information service for an unreceived call in a GSM(Global System for Mobile communication)/UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) is provided to supply received calling information as a short message when a call is not received in a called terminal, thereby enabling the calling information to be supplied. CONSTITUTION: When a calling terminal(111) transmits a call to a called terminal(112), an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)/VLR(Visitor Location Register)1(121) requests an HLR(130) to transmit call routing information of the called terminal(112), and the HLR(130) requests an MSC/VLR2(122) the call routing information. The MSC/VLR2(122) transmits the call routing information to the HLR(130). The HLR(130) transmits the call routing information to the MSL/VLR1(121) when the called terminal(112) is powered on. If the called terminal(112) is powered off, the HLR(130) informs the MSC/VLR2(122) of the power-off state. The calling terminal(111) connects a voice call according to the power-off information or the routing information, or connects a CF(Call Forwarding), and leaves a voice message or a text message via VMS.
