System and Method for Upgrade of Electro-machinery

PURPOSE: A system for upgrading an electrical device and a method thereof are provided to enable a user who uses an electrical device to upgrade a software of the electrical device directly. CONSTITUTION: A provider server(100) is connected to a user's personal computer(200) through a network for supplying a software and data of new version for a user. The PC(200) is connected to a monitor(300) for receiving a software and data to be upgraded through a communication line from the provider server(100) for upgrading the monitor(300). The monitor(300) comprises a memory unit(310) for storing a software and data transmitted from the PC(200) and a micro computer(320) for being upgraded by the software and data. Additional keys are provided at the front surface of the monitor(300) for being operated by a user. The memory unit(310) includes an upgrade area for storing the software and data received from the provider server(100) and a backup area for storing an initial software and data mounted in a producing time of the monitor(300). As a data communication method between the PC(200) and the monitor(300) and between the memory unit(310) and the micro computer(320), an IIC(Inter-Integrated Circuit) communication method is used.
