VIDEO PHONE FOR USING DISPLAY OF PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSISTANT AND THE PERSONAL DIGITAL ASSITANT THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A video phone using a display of a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) and the PDA are provided to transmit video data to the PDA from the video phone through wireless local communication, and to receive the video data to display an image on the display of the PDA, then to use the display of the PDA removable from the video phone, thereby reducing a space of the video phone and improving mobility. CONSTITUTION: A video phone(100) comprises as follows. A mounting unit mounts a PDA(104) thereon. An IrDA module interface(204) performs wireless local communication with the PDA(104). When the mounting unit has to display an image in the state of the PDA(104) being mounted, video data are transmitted to the PDA(104) through the IrDA module interface(204). The PDA(104) comprises as follows. A display(232) displays the image. An IrDA module interface(224) performs wireless local communication with the video phone(100). The video data are received from the video phone(100) through the IrDA module interface(224) in the state of the PDA(104) being mounted on the mounting unit of the video phone(100). The image of the video data is displayed through the display(232).
