PURPOSE: A method for teaching a foreign language by using the Internet is provided to make a user learn the foreign language corresponding to the difficulty matching to the user's ability level, to improve the language proficiency of the user, to increase the user's interest in the foreign language, and to maximize the effectiveness of a foreign language lesson by building the databases based on the difficulties the contents and the ages of the users. CONSTITUTION: A member database is built(s10). Study databases are built depending on the ages of the users and the difficulties of the contents(s20). The user as a registered member is connected to a server. The user selects the study database after paying for a fee(s50,s51). The member determines the difficulty of the selected study database(s70). The member studies with the selected study database. If the member requests for another study database(s80), a change to select the study database is provided to the member. The member selects the study database and studies with the database.
