摘要

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for forming a crimping wave having a three-dimensional structure on a metal fiber bundle are provided. Therefore, the method permits production of high quality fabrics having excellent expansion, heat retaining property, air permeability, electromagnetic wave absolving and shielding properties and antistatic property and reduces the number of process steps and costs. CONSTITUTION: A crimping wave bent in the opposite direction of the diameter direction of a metal fiber bundle is formed, at least one wave which has a phase difference of a specified angle against the crimping wave and is bent in the opposite direction, is continuously formed to form a plurality of waves which have a specified phase difference against the crimping wave, and is radially extruded. The wave forming apparatus comprises: plural pairs of rotation members(21,22,23,24) having a plurality of wave forming protrusions(21a,22a,23a,24a) which are constructed radially while maintaining a predetermined interval on a transfer path of the metal fiber bundle and disposed at a pitch distance sufficient to be alternately engaged each other; and a means for driving the plural pairs of rotation members.
