METHOD FOR PREVENTING PULVERIZATION OF STAINLESS STEEL SLAG

PURPOSE: To prevent pulverization of stainless steel slag in the manufacture method of stainless steel in which boron content and sulfur content are regulated below 10 ppm and 80 ppm, respectively. CONSTITUTION: In a refining method of stainless steel in which boron content and sulfur content are regulated below 10 ppm and 80 ppm, respectively, the method is characterized in that 0.2 to 0.4 wt.% of colemanite(2CaO3B2O3) and 1 to 2 wt.% of celestite (SrSO4) are added to slag during refinement.
