A METHOD FOR PERFORMING COMPLEX TRANSACTIONS IN A PERVASIVE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT

A system and method are provided that enable a user of a mobile device to execute a complex business transaction in a disconnected mode. The method includes transmitting an operation to be executed on the data rather than transmitting the actual changed data. Compound operations consist of simple operations, using constraints that represent the conditions under which the operations can be executed. The server receives the operation, executes the operation where the constraint is satisfied, and sends the result back to the client.
