IC Bus Application System of Contactless IC Membership Card

PURPOSE: A system for managing a bus using a contactless IC membership card is provided to make a fare be calculated automatically only in a reader mounted in a bus being operated by a corresponding company using a contactless IC card. CONSTITUTION: In a reader for reading a contactless IC membership card in a card reader antenna(17) and calculating a pre-fixed fare, a main channel includes a modem(11) for transmitting a result calculated in the reader. An information collecting device is positioned adjacent to the card reader for receiving a transmission from the modem(11) which transmits a signal read in the card reader antenna(17) through an interface unit(16) to a CPU(6) of a main panel. A card operating center collects and calculates data from a company server information collecting device connected to the information collecting device by wireless, and transmits the result to a financial VAN, and thus a fare is charged.
