摘要

This paper introduces a PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnection) based communication card for distributed measure and control system. The mainly function of this communication card is to get data and control commands from master unit through PCI bus and transfer the according data between the master unit and salve units through RS-485 bus. In this paper, the hardware design of this card is presented at first. Secondly, the structure and work principles of PCI controller - S5933 are described. Thirdly the RS-485 electrical characters and time division multiplexing technology are instructed. At the end of this paper, some useful suggestions are also given while creating Printed Circuit Board (PCB) .
