Molasses fermenter for advanced sewage and wastewater treatment

PURPOSE: Provided is an advanced sewage and wastewater treatment system using a molasses fermentation device as a carbon source to remove nitrogen and phosphorous contained in sewage and wastewater. CONSTITUTION: The advanced sewage and wastewater treatment system comprises a first settling tank(1), an anaerobic zone(2), a first anoxic zone(3), a first nitrification tank(4), a second anoxic zone(3'), a second nitrification tank(4'), a second settling tank(5), an internal circulation pump and pipe(8) for transferring a portion of nitric acid produced in the nitrification tank(4) to the anoxic zone(3) which is a denitrification zone, an external sludge return pump and pipe(6) for returning a portion of sludge collected in a hopper in the second settling tank(5) to the anaerobic zone(2), a sludge discharge pump and pipe(7) for discharging the remaining sludge, and a molasses fermentation device(11), wherein molasses generated by the molasses fermentation device(11) is supplied to the anaerobic zone(2) and the anoxic zone(3') using a fermentation injection pumps(12,12') as the carbon source, wherein influent flown out from the first settling tank(1) is introduced into the anaerobic zone(2) and the anoxic zones(3,3'), and wherein the nitric acid is returned to the anoxic zone(3) in response to nitrification efficiency of the nitrification tanks(4,4').
