PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for controlling a hot and cold water dispenser executing fuzzy logic control are provided to improve responsivity and controllability. CONSTITUTION: Micro signal generated by a temperature sensor installed in a hot and cold water dispenser is amplified by a temperature sensor amplifier, converted into digital value in an A/D converter and inputted to a microprocessor. The digital value is converted into actual temperature by calibration data stored in a ROM and compared with a set temperature to be inputted to a fuzzy logic controller. Signal generated by a fuel control valve opening degree sensor is amplified by an opening degree sensor amplifier, converted by the A/D converter and inputted to the microprocessor. The signal is converted into actual opening degree by the calibration data and compared with desired opening degree. The values are stored in a RAM, amplified in a driving motor driver and impressed to a valve driving motor by fuzzy control routine stored in the ROM of the microprocessor so as to drive the driving motor to change opening degree of the valve.
