PURPOSE: A method for eliminating nitrogen by controlling biological decomposition in sewage through concurrent processes of nitrification and denitrification is provided, which can cope with excess sludge flow and influent concentration fluctuation in a wide range. CONSTITUTION: In the treatment of municipal sewage and wastewater, the method is characterized in that metabolism activity of microorganism the biolysis material in sewage is controlled to keep dissolved oxygen concentration in sewage homogeneously at the level of less than 1 ppm thus inducing concurrent processes of nitrification and denitrification simultaneously and controlling biolysis matter in sewage to remove the same.
