PURPOSE: A method for setting an MMRP(MPLS(Multi-Protocol Label Switching) based Multicast Routing Protocol) is provided to set a protocol for routing forward and reverse traffics on a decided traffic path when deciding the source based point-to-multipoint traffic path for multicasting in an MPLS network. CONSTITUTION: An MRO(Multicast Route Object) includes 'tree ID information' for classifying a corresponding tree path, 'required reservation bandwidth information' for designating a bandwidth of the corresponding tree path, 'reservation style information' for indicating a bandwidth reservation method about a path on the corresponding tree path, and 'On TreeNode IDs information' for indicating a topology of the corresponding tree path. The MRO is added in a path message based on an RSVP-TE(Resource ReServation Protocol-Traffic Engineering). An MRRO(Multicast Reverse Route Object) includes 'reserved bandwidth information' for indicating reserved resource information by a lower node of a corresponding node and 'To BranchNode IDs information' for indicating a path to a branch node. The MRRO is added in a reservation message based on the RSVP-TE.
