PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for canceling a narrow-band interference signal in a mobile communication system are provided to cancel the narrow-band interference signal from a received signal for preventing communication disconnection phenomenon generated by the narrow-band interference signal. CONSTITUTION: A down converters(103) converts a received signal into a baseband signal. A digital converters(106) converts the baseband signal into a digital signal. A decimation filter(107) decimates the digital signal at a set rate. An interference canceller(108) detects a narrow-band interference signal from the decimated signal, and filters the detected narrow-band interference signal. A modem(109) demodulates the output of the interference canceller(108).
