PURPOSE: A receiving restriction method is provided to simply request/cancel a receiving restriction service to a mobile communication system by operating a keypad in a mobile communication terminal, thereby freely using additional functions while power of the terminal is not cut off. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a desirous state variable value(S100). A controller of a mobile communication terminal(200) reads a state variable value stored in a memory(S110), and compares the state variable value with the inputted state variable value(S120). If the two variable values are different, the controller changes the inputted state variable value to a new state variable value, and stores the changed value(S130). The controller transmits a state information reporting message including the new variable value to a mobile communication system(100)(S140). A base station of the mobile communication system(100) receives a wireless signal, and transmits the signal to an exchange(S200). The exchange reads the state variable value included in the reporting message, and stores the value in a memory(S210).
