PURPOSE: A method for measuring content of very fine coal in blast furnace dust is provided to accurately measure content of very fine coal in the blast furnace dust in which coke is mixed with very fine coal. CONSTITUTION: In a method for measuring content of very fine coal in blast furnace dust discharged through the upper part of blast furnace, the method for measuring content of very fine coal in the blast furnace dust is characterized in that content of very fine coal in the blast furnace dust is measured by thermally analyzing the blast furnace dust, wherein content of very fine coal is measured by the thermal analysis of the blast furnace dust using combustion reaction rate difference between coke and very fine coal in the blast furnace dust. The thermal analyzer used in the method for measuring content of very fine coal in the blast furnace dust is characterized in that a heating element(2) is installed inside casing, a sample(3) is charged into a reaction tube(4) inside the heating element(2), air is injected into the casing through an air injection port(5) installed on the upper part of the casing, combustion gas is exhausted through a gas exhaust port(6) of the lower part of the casing, a scale(1) is installed in the upper part of the casing to measure weight variation according to combustion reaction, and a data processor(7) is installed at one side of the scale(1) to store data of the measured weight variation.
