PURPOSE: Provided is Pseudomonas aeruginosa KLP-2 which exerts powerful antimicrobial effects on various kinds of strains including Legionella sp. CONSTITUTION: A microorganism, Pseudomonas aeruginosa sp., including Pseudomonas aeruginosa KLP-2 (KCTC 10120BP) is isolated from the cooling tower water, and has an antimicrobial action against Legionella sp. strains. In a method of preparing an antimicrobial substance, the microorganism is cultured using an Asparagine broth as a basic medium, 0.5-3 wt.% of glycerol as a carbon source, and 0.2-1 wt.% of proteose peptone as a nitrogen source. An antimicrobial composition contains pyocyanine derived from the Pseudomonas.
