METHOD FOR DISPLAYING DIRECTORY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION IN AN OPTICAL DISK WRITER/READER

PURPOSE: A method for displaying hierarchy structure information in an optical recording medium is provided to search for a wanted MP3 file in a method appropriate for a fast search by selecting a hierarchy structure. CONSTITUTION: A control unit receives an MP3 file search request message from a user(S200). The control unit searches for only MP3 data among files stored in a memory(S210). The user decides whether the MP3 data is searched for in a file list or a directory to which the MP3 data belongs(S220). If the user wants the directory search, the MP3 data is displayed by directory(S230). If the user wants the file list search, the file list is displayed(S240). Directory information is displayed with names of files(S250).
