PURPOSE: A method of enhancing immune response by conadministrating influenza NP gene DNA as an adjuvant for enhancing immune responses with a DNA vaccine against an antigen is provided. Therefore, the influenza NP gene DNA is used as an adjuvant for a DNA vaccine to enhance the immune response of the DNA vaccine and thus can be effectively used in prevention and treatment of influenza, AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, cancer, tuberculosis, malaria, etc. CONSTITUTION: For enhancement of immune response, influenza NP(nucleoprotein) gene DNA and a DNA vaccine against an antigen are coadministered. A vaccine composition contains the influenza NP DNA and DNA vaccine against antigen. The influenza NP gene DNA is the entire DNA having a base sequence encoding influenza NP protein and protein having amino acid sequence homology of 90% or more, or DNA containing a base sequence of 50% or more.
