PURPOSE: A repeater-type pilot light amplification apparatus for monitoring an optical cable network is provided to achieve long-distance measurement at a time by effectively amplifying only a pilot light in the case of transmitting a signal light and the pilot light on an optical fiber insulated conductor at the same time, in monitoring the operation of an optical cable network. CONSTITUTION: A repeater-type pilot light amplification apparatus for monitoring an optical cable network consists of a 4-port optical circulator(420) and a pilot light optical amplifier(900). A signal/pilot light, guided through a transmitting optical insulated conductor(100), is divided into a signal light and a pilot light through a signal light/pilot light separating optical coupler(300). If the separated pilot light is inputted to an optical cable network pilot light amplifier(10), it is transferred to the pilot light optical amplifier(900) through the pilot light transmitting optical insulated conductor(210) of the 4-port optical circulator(420). The pilot light optical amplifier(900) amplifies the weakened pilot light. The amplified pilot light is transferred to a signal light/pilot light coupling optical coupler(310) through an amplified pilot light transmitting optical insulated conductor(220). The pilot light, transferred to the signal light/pilot light coupling optical coupler(310), is combined with the signal light. The combined signal is guided to the transmitting optical insulated conductor(100).
