PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to precisely measure wavefront distortions of multi-channel light by achieving a wavefront image using a wavefront detecting sensor. CONSTITUTION: A wavefront distortion measuring apparatus includes collimating lens(2) for converting incident light(1) into parallel light. A Hartman alignment lens(3) is provided to convert multi-channel light into a point image. The point image achieved by using the Hartman alignment lens(3) and a camera lens(4) converted into an image value in the form of a voltage value by means of a CCD sensor(5). An image processing board(6) is provided to obtain a digital value with respect to an inputted image. Wavefront distortion information of incident light(1) is extracted and corrected by a main computer. An insulation control drive(13), a gradient mirror control drive(14) and a gradient mirror(15) are provided to correct a mean gradient value of X and Y axes of measured wavefront distortion information.
