PURPOSE: An automatic on-line COD analyzer using a multi-syringe injecting/sending system is provided, thereby cheaply and rapidly analyzing COD in sample water. CONSTITUTION: An automatic on-line COD analyzer using a multi-syringe injecting/sending system comprises a multi-syringe pumping device(4); an automatic sampling device(2) consisting of a pump(2b) and a precipitating device(2a); a diluting device(3) for diluting sample water when the COD concentration of the sample water is above the measurement limit; a micro-pump(5) for regulating the sample water; a Teflon line mixer(6) for mixing the sample water with the aqueous solution passed through the multi-syringe pumping device(4) and the micro-pump(5); an electro-furnace(7) with a glass pipe(7a) for oxidizing the sample water and aqueous solution at 200 deg. C; a cooling device(8) with a glass pipe(8a) for cooling the oxidized sample water; an optical sensor(9) for measuring COD concentration of the sample water; and an optical sensor controlling device(10) and a signal transfer controlling device.
