PURPOSE: A method is provided to stably control a strip by minimizing looper hunting and by preventing the strip from deteriorating rolling performance caused by tensile irregularity. CONSTITUTION: A looper angle value, tensile standard value and measuring value is supplied to calculate a tensile error and an angle error. A fuzzy typed controller(500) calculates torque of a looper driving motor(103) with the angle error by a looper angle controller(501) and also controls the looper driving motor to converge the angle value into the standard value. A tensile controller(502) calculates velocity compensation amount of a mill motor with the tensile error and delivers the amount to a looper system.
