Industrial cumylhydroperoxides having a wide range of compositions are separated in a circulating reactor of shell and tube design at the same elevated pressure as dicumyl peroxide is separated in a plug flow reactor at a recycle rate of 26 or more. The separation process is controlled by using two calorimeters and adjusting the absolute ΔT value, the difference in temperature drop between the two calorimeters.
