PURPOSE: Provided are an epilepsy-induced mutant rat in which phospholipase C beat1(PLC-beta1) and a method for preparing the same by using gene targeting. The epilepsy-induced mutant rat is useful for understanding of epilepsy mechanism and development of therapeutics for epilepsy.
