ENERGY SAVING OPERATION AT COOLING IN INVERTER TYPE ROOM AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A method for controlling cooling operation of inverter heat pump type room air conditioner is provided to keep pleasantness while saving power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: a step(S11) starting power saving operation; a step(S12) determining outdoor load to be high, middle or low after power saving operation is started; a step(S13) determining indoor load to be high, middle or low after the outdoor load is determined; and a step(S14) comparing the outdoor load and the indoor load to determine maximum operational frequency of a compressor. By restricting the maximum operational frequency of the compressor, over-cooling is prevented.
