Bioartificial skin prepared from mesenchymal cells of hair follicle

PURPOSE: Provided is a dermal substitute produced by using mesenchymal cells extracted from hair root, which contains growth factors and matrix proteins more than the conventional substitute and contains collagenase less than the conventional substitute, thereby providing superior cell generation effects. CONSTITUTION: The dermal substitute comprises (a) a biomatrix including hair root mesenchymal cells surrounding a structure produced in vitro, and connective tissue proteins released from the hair root mesenchymal cells; and (b) a transitional covering connected to the biomatrix tissue. The hair root mesenchymal cells include dermal papilla cells and connective tissue sheath cells. The hair root is root of head hair or beard. The structure is made of at least one biodegradable material selected from a group of polyglactic acid, chitin, chitosan, cotton, polyglucolic acid, cellulose, gelatine, collagen and dextran.
