Auto update method of IPC server program in exchanger

PURPOSE: A method for automatically updating an IPC(Inter Processor Communication) server program in a switch is provided to store the IPC server program in an OMP disk medium, receive the IPC server program from the OMP disk medium, and update the IPC server program. CONSTITUTION: An IPC server judges whether it is necessary to update an IPC server program(100). If it is necessary to update the IPC server program, an operator or manager registers a new IPC server program in an OMP disk medium through a DAT tape(110). If it is necessary to update a program version of the IPC server, the IPC server transmits a loading command of the IPC server program to a program loader processor(120). The program loader processor loads the IPC server program registered in the OMP disk medium to a file storing unit of a unix board(130). The IPC server copies the new IPC server program from the file storing unit, releases compression, executes the new file, and executes an application program(140). If the new IPC server program is normal(150), the IPC server notifies an operating system that the loading of the IPC server program is normally completed through an MMI(Man Machine Interface)(170).
