PURPOSE: A restoration exercise apparatus for a bone fracture patient and a control method thereof are provided to enable the patient to selectively perform the unfolding/folding action of legs as well as the opening/closing action thereof by using only one apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The restoration exercise apparatus for a bone fracture patient comprises a base member(12); a footstool frame(16) rotatable coupled to one end of the base member and composed of plural parts hinged each other; a driving device(14) rotatable coupled to the other end of the base member for supporting the frame as well as reciprocating the one end of the frame; a first angle sensor(100) installed at hinge side of the frame for detecting a folding angle of the frame; a second angle sensor(110) installed at a coupling portion between the base member and the frame for detecting a rotation angle of the frame; plural limit sensors arranged at regular distances on top surface of the base member for generating a signal corresponding to the contact of the driving device; a key manipulating part for inputting an action order; a control part; and a motor driving part. The control part determines whether a moving device is aligned with the base member from the signal input by the limit sensors and determines the folding angle and the rotation angle of the frame, thus controlling the operation of a motor according to the input order.
