PURPOSE: A method for providing software with newest version on internet and recording medium thereof is provided to offer newest information to an open software by collecting an open software on an internet, and monitoring the announcement of a new vis ion, and providing a newest version of an open software and downloading information to a subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A user for receiving a version management and information of a software connects a server(202), and inputs an ID and a password(204). A newest searching time is identified when an authentication is identified(206). It is searched as to whether a registered or revised software are existed in a database after a newest searching time(208). A download list obtained according to a searching result is transmitted to a user(210). The download list is displayed on a computer of the user(212). The user identifies as to whether a desired software is existed among the download list(214). The user indicates the download list and an intension for performing a downloading is registered when the desired software is existed(218).
