PURPOSE: A GIS(Geographical Information System) using a road map fabricated by track data obtained from an interval between a position of a vehicle having a GPS(Global Position System) and a reference point is provided to fabricate correctly and rapidly the GIS by correcting accurately the moving track of the vehicle having the GPS. CONSTITUTION: A GIS using a road map fabricated by track data obtained from an interval between a position of a vehicle having a GPS and a reference point includes a vehicle having a GPS, an ultrasonic radar for correcting planar coordinates of the vehicle, reference points(240), and a central control center(230) for producing the corrected coordinates of the vehicle. The vehicle having the GPS is formed with a GPS receiver(120), a direction detector(130), a traveling state detector(140), an altitude detector(150), a present position and path calculation unit(160), a system controller(170), an input unit(200), a display controller(190), a display unit(180), a transmission controller(210), and a transmission unit(220). The GPS receiver(120) is used for receiving a GPS signal and producing present planar coordinates. The direction detector(130) is used for producing the moving direction of the vehicle. The traveling state detector(140) is used for producing the traveling distance of the vehicle. The altitude detector(150) is used for producing an altitude of the vehicle. The planar coordinates of the vehicle are corrected by using the defined coordinates of the reference points(240). The corrected coordinates are corrected again by using altitude information data.
