METHOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF RESIDUAL TENSION OF OCULAR ACCOMMODATION IN SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: a test-object is suggested for a patient at a red background. Acuity level is estimated by a line seen without any tension. Then a testobject is suggested at a green background for a patient to look at it through an optic lens of -0.5 D strength. If one estimates a myopic refraction, acuity from 95 to 100% at a red background and improved quality of picture at a green background with the help of dispersing lens of -0.5 D strength, the residual tension of ocular accommodation is diagnosed. The method enables to exclude the possibility for the development of a stable accommodation spasm leading to the development of a progressing myopia. EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics.
