Ultrasonic examination is carried out with convex transducer at 5 MHz frequency in prone, dorsal and lateral patient position. Longitudinal scanning is carried out in top down direction from inferior intercostal spaces. Transverse and oblique cross-section pictures at various angles are produced with linear transducer of 7.5 MHz frequency. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
