FIELD: hydrometallurgy, particularly, leaching of material with nonorganic base containing nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium applicable in process of spent catalysts. SUBSTANCE: method includes leaching of solid initial material having specific surface of 1000-100000 sq.m/kg placed in liquid reaction solution with the following requirements: 0.5 (liquid-solid) 10 (by weight). Novelty consists in application of electric current, preferably, alternating current to obtained reaction mixture with current density of 1-10 A/sq.dm and voltage of 1-4 V/cm.
