METHOD FOR PREPARING LEAD TUNGSTATE PbWO₄

FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of synthesis of high-purity substances, in part, lead tungstate used as scintillating agents for highly precision electromagnetic calorimetry of high energy particles. Solutions of sodium tungstate and lead nitrate or acetate are fed simultaneously with equal volume rate as jets freely flowing out from diametrically arranged separating funnels. Solutions comprise equivalent amounts of parent substances and they are fed to additional liquid phase with neutral pH value. Distilled water or mother liquor obtained after separation and washing out lead tungstate precipitate. Precipitate is washed out with distilled water up to complete absence of ions NO-3or C₂H₃O-2in washing water. Method provides preparing monophase lead tungstate in crystalline form exhibiting good ability for filtration. EFFECT: improved preparing method. 5 cl, 1 dwg
