SUBSTANCE: manufacture of material, which can be used in metallography, in metal finishing operations, in ceramic armor manufacture, and in aviation and spatial engineering, includes following steps: processing starting low-exothermic mixture from boron and carbon black in presence of 0.1 to 10 wt % titanium or zirconium; compressing mixture to relative density 40- 50%; placing compressed sample in the volume of integrated container constructed in the form of bushing or tumbler from high-exothermic boron-carbon black mixture; placing the assembly into sealed reactor; igniting starting mixture by applying current pulse over tungsten coil onto one of the surfaces of container; and discharging finished material with microhardness 5040 to 7150 kg/sq.mm and high high-temperature hardness value. In the case of carrying out the process in argon atmosphere, before initiation step, evacuation of charged reactor is possible.
