FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: method, intended for controlling process effluents and treated effluents from synthetic dye and pesticide production enterprises. Method consists in concentrating acids by preliminarily subjecting them to liquid extraction from aqueous sample followed by analyzing extract by titration with KOH solution. Extractant utilized is ethyl acetate taken in amount 5-20 cu.cm for aqueous sample volume 100 cu.cm and extract is subjected to potentiometric titration by ethanolic KOH solution using, as differentiating solvent, dimethylformamide in different volume ratios to extract.
