FIELD: composites. SUBSTANCE: invention provides cermets containing one solid component and Co-Ni-Fe-binder, which is advantageously characterized by that, even in the case of its plastic deformation, binder retains its face-centered cubic structure and is free of stresses and/or deformations inducing phase transformations. Binder contains 40-90% cobalt, the rest being nickel, iron, and accidental impurities provided that content of each nickel and iron is at least 4% but no more than 36% and Ni:Fe varies between 1.5:1 and 1: 1.5. One solid component contains at least one carbide, nitride, carbonitride, their mixtures, and their solid solutions.
