The stacking hoist comprises a main load platform which is driven outwards by a first drive system. Several other load surfaces are arranged in the main load surface with a telescopic action to extend the reach of the hoist. A second drive system operates at least the inner load surfaces to lift using scissors support arms. The telescopic drive is via a conventional drive while the scissors drive is via a cable drive. The operator is able to reach stacking shelves by a combination of lateral telescopic drive and the hoist drive.
