Tools etc are held in a subdivided open trough (1) having hooked loops (2) at opposing ends to hang the trough on ladder rungs or scaffolding and platform and the trough is fitted out with bottom guides (3) on the one long side for oppositely extendable arms (4). The arms end in fixers (5) used to anchor the trough on ladder stringers etc. The trough is composed of two telescopically sliding parts which lock together in the adopted position and the trough is completed by an inserted container with tool etc pocket divisions. Trough and/or insert has a closable cover to be closed against a spring or by means of a magnet. Some of the tool etc pockets are shockproof lined and the trough is recessed at one end to take a cable connector.
