Corrosion inhibitor(s) selected from molybdenum (Mo) compounds, geminal diphosphonic acids, phosphonocarboxylic acids and polycarboxylic acids are used in aqueous solution for inhibiting pitting and cracking corrosion of stainless steel, nickel (Ni) and Ni alloys.
